CAPITOL BUILDING IN LIBERIA 87% COMPLETED
Liberia’s capitol building 87% completed which will have a new office for its members.
The capitol building is the building that holds the country leaders. It is a building were members of the House of Representatives and the Liberian Senate meet when passing a law in the country.
The construction of the two annexes building which started in October 2016 is at 87% finish. The project which is worth U.S.$23m is being funded by the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and will be complete in April this year.
The Building should provide Members of the new self-contained offices. The building will have over 300 rooms, two separate chambers as well as a generator house. It will also connect the two sides of the existing main building.
Project engineer at the Ministry of Public Works, Sidney Devine said the construction is currently 87% complete. The project will be first of its kind since the erection of the Capitol Building, 62 years ago. The project is not the only one going on in the country by the chineses.
The construction of the project is by a chinese firm. The firm Jiangsu Jiangsu Construction Company is in charge of construction and supervising the building.
