CONSTRUCTION OF NEW CBT CENTRE FOR JAMB APPROVE IN NIGERIA
Nigeria Government approve construction of CBT centre for Jamb examination.
Nigeria government has approve the construction of a new CBT centre for jamb. The centre which will be worth N133 million is a computer base facility. Furthermore the facility will be use by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Federal Executive council approve the project during yesterday FEC meetings in abuja. The purchase of the computer based facility would enable JAMB take control of its examination processes. It will also help avoid leakages of exam papers that usually affect the conduct of the examination.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu said “JAMB had ran their test for people who seek admission for universities. He also said the agencies currently been use are experiencing leakages over time.”
In February, he registrar of the board, Ishaq Oloyede express displeasure towards centres that usually give the board problems by stopping the candidates from writing examination.
The project will help improve and better protect Jamb examination in the country. During the last Jamb in 2018, their were about 602 centres across the country.
