DANGOTE INDUSTRIES ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENTS
Dangote industries announces appointment of new management team.
Nigerian multinational conglomerate, Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), as part of its plans to sustain its strategic business growth trajectory have announced new appointments.
In the new organizational structure, Olakunle Alake former Chief Operating Officer (COO) is now the Group Managing Director. Also Dr. Adenike Fajemirokun, the Group Chief Risk Officer have received a promotion to the office of Group Executive Director, President’s Office. She will take on the new roles in addition to her Risk Officer schedule.
Dr. Adenike Fajemirokun, is now the first ever female executive director in Dangote Group.
According to Aliko Dangote, President and Chief Executive of Dangote Group, “It is exciting seeing a female occupy such a high position. We are gender sensitive and create equal opportunities for both male and female to get to the top.”
Also announced is the appointment of Austine Ometoruwa as Group Executive Director, Corporate Finance and Treasury.
Earlier, the Board of Dangote Cement, global, announced the appointment of Cherie Blair and Mick Davies as Independent Non-Executive Directors.
The new appointments are to strengthen the Group’s executive management team and to consolidate on its strategic business growth trajectory.
