EGYPT PARTNER WITH CHINA TO BUILD NEW ADMINISTRATIVE CAPITAL

Egypt and china agree deal for the construction of a new administrative capital in Egypt.

Egypt and China has struck a deal to join forces for the construction of a new administrative capital. The capital will be use as one of the solutions to the chronic congestion of Cairo. The chronic congestion has a demographic burden of more than 20 million inhabitants.

According to report, the project will offer  thousands of jobs and stimulate the sluggish economy, while Egypt’s government institutions are schedule to move to the new capital within the second half of 2019.

Currently, dozens of Chinese and Egyptians are surveying the geological conditions of the construction ground. They are also preparing statistics for architects to design the 20 residential, administrative, commercial and services towers. It will be design and build on the 1.7-million-square-meter ground.

Chang Weicai, chief executive officer of the CSCEC Egypt company said “Th construction work will start in several months after geological survey. He also said that the construction will be finish in 3.5 years at maximum.”

The project will also have 90% of its workers from the local communities which will help in job creation. CSCEC are also in charge of Over 50 percent of high-rises around the globe.

The initiative, proposed by China in 2013, aims to build a trade and infrastructure network connecting Asia with Europe and Africa on and beyond the ancient Silk Road trade route.
