NEW ROAD CONSTRUCTION SET TO BOOST TRADE IN RWANDA
Construction of new road set to boost economy trade in Rwanda
The construction of the new Road is an exciting news to residents. It will also be the first tarmac road which will begin before the end of the year according to the Head of State.
Minister for Infrastructure, Claver Gatete said “We have reserved funds for it even if we will know the exact cost of the project at its completion. He also said we have enough funds for it.”
The first tarmac road will be 13.8-km long. It will also connect Huye town to Gisagara District headquarters as the area now boost most of the unique facility in the region. It has facilities like a new hotel, a mini-stadium for games such as basketball and volley-ball, as well as different agriculture activities.
Minister for Finance and Economic Planning, Uzziel Ndagijimana said “It’s a remote area that is increasingly becoming an urban area. He also said it will boost investment in the area.”
Once completion of the road is over, it will give the area a new look. It will also bring investors to the start spending their nights in Gisagara instead of Huye. According to the major, it will change the mindset of investors about the area.
District’s mayor, Jérôme Rutaburingoga said “It’s a kind of limitation that we have because investors don’t wants to use a dusty road.”
