Senior C&I Engineer 1 – (ECR0001BD)

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge & experience with MS Office packages (create spreadsheets, registers, reports, presentations, workflows, etc.)
  • Knowledge of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule.
  • Specialist Knowledge of Codes of practice relevant to industry
  • Knowledge of National and International Standards
  • Knowledge and application of Electronic Engineering Design & Principles
  • Proficient with Engineering tools and Software i.e. Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) and/or Des Soft (FDes).
  • Knowledge and ability to perform Technical Evaluations for standard and non-standard (requisitioned) materials and construction contracts
  • Produce and Review P&ID’s alongside Process
  • Prepare and Review Cable schedules that list all cable details and lengths
  • Prepare and Review Complex Cable Route diagrams to indicate cable route in site
  • Review Instrument Data Sheets.
  • Prepare and Review Complex Design Loop drawings
  • Prepare and Review Complex Instrumentation Designs using software
  • Do Instrument Calculations for Level Instruments, Flow Orifice, Restriction Orifice and Safety Relief Valves
  • Prepare and Review Valve calculations alongside Process
  • Prepare and review Complex Instrument Datasheets and Specifications
  • Review Complex Control System Specifications
  • Prepare and review Auxiliary Systems and generate sections thereof
  • Prepare and review Control Narratives/specifications
  • Review Safeguarding Narratives/specifications
  • Prepare and review Cause & Effect Diagrams and generate sections thereof
  • Prepare and Review Range, Alarm and Trip List (RAT List)
  • Develop and review conceptual flow sheets and conceptual layouts
  • Prepare and Review Technical equipment requisitions required for procurement purposes
  • Contribute and conduct design reviews
  • Prepare and review project standard specifications and design criteria
  • Perform and review Package Engineering on Multi-discipline type packages
  • Completing tasks in accordance to the  specific  stages of the engineering design process
  • Produce and review C&I scope of work subcontract documents for procurement purposes
  • Conduct Site visitations to approve work carried out
  • Perform and review research of processes and systems to understand the C&I design processes
  • Collaborate with the drafting team to ensure all drawings and designs are in-line with project specifications.
  • Liaising with various departments to successfully complete the C&I Scope of Work
  • Attend/Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT’s)
  • Attend/Conduct Site Acceptance Tests (SAT’s)
  • Prepare, Perform and Review technical bid analysis & tabulation which will be used to select appropriate vendors
  • Review vendor information for technical detail and information
  • Provide solutions based on client requirements that are in line with the company’s business model
  • Conduct technical / feasibility studies and investigations.
  • Compile C&I studies
  • Attend Project progress, Interactive Planning Sessions and Kick-off meetings
  • Assist in Preparing Man-hour estimates for Proposal
  • Develop strong working relationships with key clients / contractors
  • Assist in Reviewing C&I technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.)

 

Qualifications

  • BSC/B.Eng Electronic Engineering
  • B.Tech (Diploma) Electronic Engineering
  • 7-10 years (BSc)
  • 10-15 years (B.Tech/Diploma)
  • EPC / EPCM Environment
  • Petro Chemical, Oil & Gas or Similar Environment
  • Intermediate Multi-Office Project Experience
  • Intermediate Multi-Project Phase Experience
