KENYA INCREASES SGR CARGO TRAINS TO SEVEN
Kenya increases number of cargo trains in Mombasa-Nairobi route to seven. The daily number of standard gauge railway (SGR) cargo trains on the Mombasa-Nairobi route will to increase to seven (7) daily by Friday. This will in turn increase competition with road transporters. Previously, only six (6) trains carrying 654 containers were leaving Mombasa daily to the inland container depot in Nairobi.
