TRANSPORTATION UNIVERSITY TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN TANZANIA

China to construct a transportation university in tanzania that will help improve the transport sector in the country.

The construction of the university is a join partnership between china and tanzania. The university construction will help strengthen the relationship between both nation.

Apart from the relationship, the university will help the National Institute of Transport (NIT) to grow the transport sector. The institution which was established to training wing of the then National Transport Corporation (NTC).

The cost of the project is worth US$62million and will also help improve the number of professionals in the different sectors like aviation. It will also help revive Air Tanzania company limited(ATCL), as the government is planning to purchase new planes.

Tanzania Air Operation Association produce a data in November 2012 which shows that pilots are not available in the country. The stat shows that there are only 183 local pilots in the country against 456 pilots.

Tanzania is among five nation that is to benefits from the construction of the university by the chinese government. The decision to undertake the project by the chinese was reveal during the 6th ministerial conference of the FOCAC. The forum on china-africa cooperation (FOCAC) had been in johannesburg on december 2015.

President Magufuli was greatful and asked Ms Wang Ke to deliver his word of thanks to the President of China for the assistance, saying it will help improve  the transportation in the country.
