WORLD LARGEST OBSERVATION WHEEL IN DUBAI NEARS COMPLETION
UK’s Mace almost done with the observation wheel in bluewaters island that is going to be the largest in the world once it is completed.
Once the wheel is completed, the 210m wheel will dwarf the currently world’s tallest observation wheel which is 167m high in Las Vegas and even the planned 192m high New York Wheel that will be completed by next year April as well as Britain’s 135m London Eye.
Dubai’s latest attraction has the capacity to carry up to 1,400 passengers in its 48 capsules and will allow visitors to take 360-degree view of the city which tends to be one of the world’s fastest changing cityscapes. Also, a 80-metre LED will be mounted on it for broadcasts, advertisement and other announcement.
The Project is managed by UK’s Mace, the company that built the London Eye in 1999 , the attraction is being developed as a part of the £1bn Bluewaters Island project, a manmade island which sits off the coast in Dubai Marina, adjacent to the Jumeriah Beach Residence.
2018 the bluewaters island is expected to be completed, which is five years after the project started.
