ZIBAGWE DISTRICT SET TO CONSTRUCT MORE CLINIC IN ZIMBABWE

Zibagwe RDC to build more clinic with will reduce the shortage of health facilities in the area.

Zibagwe Rural District Council (RDC) is making plans to construct more clinic in the area. This clinics will help solve the growing problem facing the district. Currently, the district has only 17 clinics that serve 33 wards. This is why the council see it as an important part of developing the area.

The plan is to have each district in the area get one clinic which will help reduce the number of injuries and travel time for residents. Meanwhile, the situation in the district is so dire that why the project is beginning to gather momentum.

Zibagwe RDC chief executive Farayi Machaya said “We are faced with a shortage of health facilities in the district. He also said some people have to travel long distances to access health services.”

According to Farayi, they are targeting to construct at least five clinics in 2019. Meanwhile, the district has an abundance of some of the building material which will make the construction easier.

Farayi said that they are motivated by the President Mnangagwa’s speech which talk about the need to improve service delivery to our people.
