ZIMBABWE SET TO CONSTRUCT MODERN GREEN BUILDING

NOIC set to fund the construction of a modern green building that will help cut the demand for grid electricity in Zimbabwe.

The construction of the green building will be at he Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds. It will be power by a solar plant and will help feed energy to the nation grid. The initiative will also help cut the demand for grid electricity in the country.

Ministry of Energy Permanent Secretary, Mr Partson Mbiriri said “The intention of this project is to ensure that other companies also construct similar structures. He also said that it will help cut down the demand for grid electricity in the country.”

The solar panels that will be install will help picking solar radiation. Furthermore, solar water  will also be install to help in conserving and generating power for consumption.

The National Oil Infrastructure Company of Zimbabwe (NOIC) is in charge of funding the project. It will cost US$ 300,000 for the whole project to be complete. The green building is every important because it enables environmentalists to battle and contain the effects of climate change globally.
