In the world now, solar is currently the fastest energy source and gradually making a major impact in Africa continents.
According to a report from International Energy Agency that in the next five years, off-grid solar capacity in Africa will be tripled which is expected to bring about basic electricity services to almost 70-million more people in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
According to their report the amount of power from solar is expected to grew by more than 50% and that off-grid solar as a ‘dynamic’ sector is set to accelerate this growth. Its capacity is expected to reach ‘over 3 000 MW by 2022’ especially in Africa and Asia.
Lumos is one of the company that offer off-grid solar system in Africa, where the device transforms the sun’s energy into electricity.
