AMERICAN VENTURE GROUP SIGNED DEAL WITH LIBERIA WATER CORPORATION
AVG sign deal with Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation to provide sufficient and affordable water
Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) has signed an MoU with American Venture Group (AVG) to provide sufficient and affordable water. The deal will also enable 1.5 million Liberians to have sustainable supply of clean and safe drinking water.
Speaking during the MoU signing, LWSC’s managing director, Duannah A. Kamara said this will provide sufficient supply of clean water to underprivileged Liberians. According to him, it is also part of supporting the Pro-poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD) which was championed by President Weah.
According to the MoU, ”The joint venture agreement will require the company to design, build, finance and install. They will also operate 270 water purification systems in mainly rural communities throughout Liberia. Each unit will be powered by a mini solar system, and a phone charging outlets for community dwellers.”
CEO of AVG, Richard Hoffman said the deal will provide pure drinking water to both urban and rural communities. He also said that the installation of the Kiosk units/community pumps throughout the country will be actualized 24 months.
