ANGOLA PLANE CRASH- SEVEN PEOPLE DEAD

Due to bad weather, 7 people are dead in a plane crash in Angola. 

According to authorities on Monday, the plane that crashed in the romote corner of Angola that had seven people on-board was downed because of bad weather.

The Angola’s fire service said the Brazilian-built Embraer aircraft that is operated by Air Guicango and was heading for Luanda crashed on Thursday after taking off from Dundo near the congolese border.

The rescue chief Pedro Goncalves told the local media ”that they have found the wreckage of the aircraft and the seven people on board, they are still looking for the black box flight recorders of the crashed plane”.

the crashed aircraft and the victims were located in lake Nacarumbo, close to the community of Cuilo on sunday by rescuers, said the rescue chief.

The chief added by saying “Investigations are still going on  but it seems that the aircraft was struck by lightning on the right wing, which caused an engine fire”.

Officials said that the victims include; a portuguese fireman, a South African national, the other two passengers and all three members of the crew were Angolan.
