Currently we have the opportunity for a dynamic Application Specialist Ultrasounds to join our Maghreb team  and support our Francophone Africa market (the role can be located in Algeria, Tunisia or Morocco).

As an Application Specialist Ultrasounds you will you have the opportunity to promote Philips Health Care products & systems in the assigned district and to ensure that customers (e.g. end-users, technicians, operators) are properly trained to optimally use the equipment delivered, installed and handed over by Philips Healthsystems and maximizing customer satisfaction in the assigned district.

Your are responsible for:

  • Promoting Philips Healthsystems solutions during customer visits, product demonstrations, seminars and trade shows
  • Working as part of an account team to ensure modality results are reached according to account plans and targets
  • Supporting new products launches
  • Providing required applications report on completion of all application visits
  • Training customers in applying the best possible clinical procedures and protocols to achieve optimal usage of the equipment delivered
  • (re-)Training hospital staff in case of new releases, upgrade and / or versions (changes) in the operating procedures of the equipment
  • Setting up application training schedules in close cooperation with the customer
  • Ensuring that all customers are provided with high quality training and attention so that each customer is fully satisfied with the attention received from Philips Healthcare (PH)
  • Conducting regular visits to customers to obtain direct feedback from them about  the quality of the training delivery and the customer satisfaction
  • Reporting to Philips Healthcare (PH) on difficulties in optimal usage of the equipment
  • Being aware and to manage at all times the safety standards required by the company, including radiation protection, health and safety regulations. In the event of hazards or accidents, to take immediate control of the situation and involve the safety advisor from the Regional office.
  • Supporting and advising the sales force during acquisition
  • Keeping up to date with new developments in the clinical application and  operating field of the relevant equipment
  • Ensuring that all clinical applications training, with both new and existing customers, complies with the company’s quality policy
  • Responsible for reporting customer feedback according to applicable quality standard policy and follow up relevant assigned quality & regulatory training in a timely manner

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • BA or technical diploma in diagnostic sonography (Ultrasounds) is a must.
  • Preferred background either 2-5 years’ experience in selling of capital equipment to hospital end users or 2-5 years’ experience in clinical use of Ultrasounds equipment.
  • Winners mentality, will only accept a #1 position in the market.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving, critical thinking and priority-setting skills.
  • Speaking, understanding and writing fluently English and French in addition to local language.
  • Teaching experience in a clinical environment preferred.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
