JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Associate Project Engineer, He/She will be a part of the Industrial Automation Business and Energy Industries Business Line that will be based in Ngwodana.

Tasks:

•Technical contribution: Perform basic survey work, standard computations, analysis and basic design tasks. Collect data and supports production of the engineering design. Assist other engineers. Exercise judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods. Prepare project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables

•Contract management: Identify variation requests to support contract claims issuing

•Planning and control: Follow work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. Ensure quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost

•Risk and opportunity: Support risk assessments and implementation of resulting management actions in one’s area of responsibility. Document and handle technical risks according to mitigation guidelines

•Customer: Clarify technical queries for customers. Interact with other staff and contractors within one’s scope of deliverables

•Supply chain management: Collaborate with the Supply Chain function, reviews vendor documentation, supports preparation of RFQs, evaluation of proposals, maintaining the execution of projects, etc.

•Processes and tools: Use standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility. Report process and tool inefficiencies, along with suggesting ideas for improvement

•People leadership: Assign tasks to and coordinate work with technicians, development administrative staff

Requirements:

•Should have Engineering Degree or Diploma.
•Should have minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant experience.
•Industrial Automation Systems Commissioning Experience.
