BUHARI INAUGURATES OSHODI INTERCHANGE & OTHER PROJECTS IN LAGOS
Nigeria President inaugurates several projects in Lagos
President Muhammadu Buhari have recently inaugurated several projects in Lagos. In Ikeja, he unveiled the newly constructed institute of Maternal and Child Health popular known as “Ayinke house” at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. The institute is completely digitized with modern medical equipment and ICT services. This serves as an improvement in the quality of health care delivery for women and children in the state.
The institute also serves as a platform for the State’s University medical students. In essence, it will help to enhance their skills and exposure to top-class medical equipment.

President Buhari also commissioned the new Lagos Theatres. These theatres spread across the state and are located in Oregun, Badagry, Igando and Epe. This project aims at social development and is also part of the state’s contribution to the art, culture and tourism sector.

President Buhari commended the Lagos state governor as he said, “Your Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has performed satisfactorily and we should all commend him for his contribution to the growth and development of Lagos State”.
The President also commissioned the Oshodi Transport Interchange with 3 Terminals. The Oshodi interchange will ensure that transport activities are conducted in a secure, clean and orderly manner.
Lagos state governor Ambode said, the Oshodi interchange Terminal 3 would be fully operational by May 1, 2019; while Terminals 1 and 2 will become fully operational by the end of May.

Other commissioned projects in Lagos
Among the projects in Lagos commissioned was the new 820 medium/high capacity Transport Buses. This is also part of the Bus Reform Initiative which aims in making life better for all Lagos people. It provides systematized and luxurious transportation for every gender, tribe and political status in the state.

The President also commissioned the Muritala Muhammed International Airport Road. The project is an infrastructural development project that has completely given a face lift to the major gateway into Nigeria.

The Muritala Muhammed International Airport Road and U-Turn will immediately be open for public use; while the other Flyover would become open by May 10th after the completion of the quality assurance tests.
