GAMBIA GOVERNMENT TO RESOLVE INCREASE IN CEMENT PRICE
Gambia Governor of central bank say increase in price is only temporary as measures are put in place to solve it.
The people of Gambia are not happy with the development of the cement increase in the country. The increase in price has since result in the production of less cement. The problem is of real conscience to the government as it has made the country looking for answer to resolve it.
Governor of the Central Bank, Bakary Jammeh said that the increase in price is temporal and that it will be resolve. He said this during question and answer session of the Monetary Policy Committee meeting with journalists.
The governor also said that plans are already in place to tackle the problem after a survey. The survey shows that demand for cement has increase above the require amount. He said it has now become a problem and will be deal with but require patient from the general public.
The increase in cement is not the only problem the country is facing. Other problem like increase in fuel, inflation control mechanisms are also affecting the state of the nation.
