CONSTRUCTION OF NGOMA STADIUM SET TO KICK-OFF IN RWANDA

Ngoma stadium construction set to kick-off this week after plans was agreed.

Finalization are set to kick-off next week for the construction of Ngoma stadium in Rwanda. The project which comes as a joy to the community will be worth  $9 million (around Rwf8 billion). It will also have a capacity to host at least 15,000 people.

The stadium construction is a dream come true for youths living in the environment. It will also help them develop their and showcase their talents and further provide job for individual in the area.

China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) will be in charge of the project with the district set to pay the company for the stadium after signing a loan deal for five years.

District mayor, Aphrodice Nambaje said We are really happy for this project as we have been waiting for this stadium for so long. He also said We are expecting to have a good stadium with good standards.”

The mayor also hailed the government’s partnership with CRBC, through which different infrastructure activities are ongoing in the district. The facility will have a multipurpose sports complex with up-to-standards features like football pitch. It will also have a running track, volleyball and basketball fields as well as a tennis court.

CRBC Managing Director, Lee Jan Bo said “In the past 44 years that we have spent here, we have witnessed different achievements by the Rwandan government. He also said that  it is our privilege to have a role in this development.”

The stadium will be able to provide a safer and better place for the local community to do sports activities.
