CONSTRUCTION OF TAZARA FLYOVER 98% COMPLETED IN TANZANIA

Tazara Flyover construction now 98% complete which will help ease traffic congestion in Dar es Salaam.

Tazara flyover construction is 98% complete according to the Prime Minister. The flyover will help to easing of traffic congestion in Dar es Salaam. It will also help become a long-lasting symbol in opening a new era of Tanzania – Japan partnership and friendship.

The project will also contribute to better life of the citizens of Dar es Salaam, and for the economic growth. Meanwhile, the news  is a good for Dar es Salaam residents and international travellers.

Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa said “The project is progressing well and upon completion, it will ease traffic for those who will be going to the airport and nearby areas from the city centre”.

The project is from a fund from the government of Japan though its Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica). It also has a plan to construct over seven flyover all over the city.

According to the Prime minister, they are even considering the need for Rapid bus transit project to Gongo la Mboto from the city centre. This will now make the contractors set aside enough space.
