MBELWA COUNCIL SET TO INVEST IN INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT IN MALAWI
Mbelwa council set to invest for fund into the three story building in Mzimba, Malawi.
Mbelwa Council is setting the pace for other council in Malawi to follow. The council is planning to constructing a three story building which will help in accommodating about 82 government offices.
The aim is to have coordination within heads of departments as existing building are different from each other. It will also make having management meeting very easy as it will be in the same building.
District Commissioner (DC) for Mzimba, Thomas Chirwa said ”The structure would be the tallest in the council adding beauty of the district. He also said it will enable them hold management meetings without moving from one point to another.”
The project has already had admiration coming from other council. It will also help contribute to the social economic development of people living in Mzimba.
Currently the building is on the basement level and shortly will be doing ground floor slab. The targeted time frame for the DC offices to be completed is 19 months, it is being constructed by DEC Construction.
