CRISIS IN MOZAMBIQUE LNG PORT TOWN

Like the saying, “no good thing comes easy”! Here is another classical situation in the LNG booming nation of Mozambique. Reports from Bloomberg suggests that the nation is battling islamic state-link fighters that are attempting to seize a Mozambique LNG port town. More so, this town is a key logistics link for a $23 billion natural-gas project that Total SE is building, according to Risk Advisory Group.

Andrew Harding, a BBC Africa correspondent says the loss of the city was a serious blow to Mozambique’s military, who are struggling to contain a growing rebellion in the gas-rich province of Cabo Delgado.
