Cross River state partners with Sirieco Company to build Cross river state electric car plant

There will soon be a Cross River state electric car plant. According to the Chief Executive Officer of Sirieco Company, Mr. Groidis Peter; the government of Cross River state plans to establish an electric car assembling plant in partnership with Sirieco Company.

Countries all over the world in an attempt to lessen the excess dependency on fossil-fuel and also to protect the environment; are now focusing on using alternative eco-friendly fuels to power vehicles. Countries like the UK, France, Norway, The Netherlands, Germany, and India, have already set deadlines for the phasing out of conventional fuel vehicles. However, the use of electric cars varies world wide due to consumer demand, market prices and government incentives.

Mr. Peter said asides setting up the the Cross river state electric car plant in the Industrial Park; Sirieco company also plans on building a factory for the manufacturing of long lasting bulbs and street lamps”.

Benefits of the partnership

Governor Ben Ayade; while speaking on the state government partnership for the Cross River state electric car plant and the tour of some projects at the industrial park said;  Sirieco company was free to select its choice location in the 42 plots industrial park and no rent will be collected for the land.  The company will also get three (3) years tax exemption and once production is up and running,;the Cross River state government will purchase at least 10,000 lamps per annum. This he said should enough catalyst for them to begin work on site as soon as possible.

The state government said, it is also offering to build on order the factory plant at no cost to the company; and to provide the necessary utility support services including free Wi-Fi. This will serve as an incentive to ensure that they settle in properly.

The Cross River state governor, also urged any serious investor who will provide jobs for at least 50 Cross Riverians from its investment outlay; to come and take a plot at the industrial park.

If the Electric car plant is successfully set up in Cross Rivers state; it will transform the region to a hub that will be second to none in Africa. Already Sirieco Company says it plans to build a strong working relationship with the Cross River State Government.
