CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST AT ABB, SOUTH AFRICA

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Customer Support Specialist EPDS, you will be a part of the Electrification Business and Distribution Solutions Business line based in Modderfontein, South Africa. You will be responsible to receive request or inquiries from customers and provide information and price quotations.

Tasks:

•Sales Support: Receive requests from customers internal or external via telephone or mail for price quotations or verifications, purchase orders and changes or cancellations directly from customers. Respond immediately to customer inquiries or information needs and provides positive, courteous service to customers, answer questions regarding product line, prices, delivery times, warranty periods, customer service and credit or financing arrangements.

•Administration: Manage the order processing in a timely and accurate manner to include order acknowledgement. Validation or integrity check of an order for (internal or external customers) monitor.  Prepare returned goods paperwork, including original purchase order, copies of invoice and delivery note to complete Returned Goods Authorization and forwards to Receiving and Accounting.

•Customer Relations: Ability to communicate orally with customers, management, and coworkers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and email for communication is essential. Use customer feedback to generate ideas about improving customer service. Liaise with Product Marketing Specialists to ensure brand consistency and increase sales. Develop and maintain solid relationships with clients.

•Reporting: Periodically provide reports on the outstanding customer backorders of the division. Report any and all customer related issues to the Order Handling Manager regarding possible delays in delivery, credit and payment.

•Documentation: Ensure that all documentation needed to comply with local and export regulations are met.  All credit and debit notes need to be completed by month end.

Requirements:

•Should have minimum 3 years of experience in dealing with order handling and customer sales.

•Sales, Business Administration or relevant Engineering background will be required for this position.

•In-depth understanding of the sales administration process SAP or REMSEC.

•Must possess people skills, and have the ability to be creative and proactive.

•Ability to work with little or no supervision.
