DUALIZATION OF GHANA’s HO MAIN ROAD SET FOR COMPLETION IN DECEMBER THIS YEAR

The dualization of the Ho main road and Civic Centre-Sokode Gbogame road is 60% complete. The 10.5km road is progressing steadily and is expected to be completed at the end of this year.

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako-Atta said this in response to a question posed by the Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Mr. Benjamin Komla Kpodo, on the floor of Parliament concerning road infrastructure in the Volta Region.

He said works on the 300-meter retaining walls on the right side of the road were ongoing, adding that the construction of the crushed rock base on some portions of the road was underway.

“The crushed rock base on some portions of the road is taking place in earnest, while 7.75km of asphalt binder course has been applied on the right side of the road and 4.2 km fixed on the left side,” he added.
