FIRST FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY (Fintech) HUB IN RWANDA.
Rwanda will soon be home to a hub for financial technology (Fintech), boosting start-ups in the sector.
The Chief Executive Officer of Finance Innovation Joelle Durieux revealed that the French based financial services in partnership with the Government of Rwanda is to set up a Financial technology (Fintech) hub. The project aims at creating new businesses and identifying better ways for the financial sector.
KLab is also one of the two mutual partners in this project, and has been promoting local businesses. The hub will be solely for promoting new businesses active in tech services.
Fintech is one of the emerging technologies. Analysts say that there is a wave of change driven by technology in financial services.
In conclusion, the aim of this project is to make Rwanda the largest Fintech hub in Africa. The hub will promote the financing of small and medium-sized businesses and strengthen research and financial innovation in the country.
