The design of the road is yet to be made public by the company but observers say the current width does not appear to be wide enough to accommodate the creation of a sidewalk.

The road project has been on hold for a long time since it began in 2007. It was recently open after President George Weah visted Genta in 2018 which subsequently led to the recommencement of the road project.

The road construction is a birthday gift to former President Ellen John Sirleaf when Lakshmi Mittal, CEO of ArcelorMittal, visited Liberia.
