The Ministry of Communications, through the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), has led the expansion of ICT infrastructure and services to underserved and unserved communities across the country through the implementation of various universal access programmes and projects.

The ICT Center forms part of the broader vision of the President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo’s initiative to intensify ICT education in the country as well as encourage the youth to participate in the technology world. The Centre is meant to train and make ICT skills and technology common to everyone, leaving no one behind.
