GHANA UNLAWFULLY DEMOLISHES BUILDING IN NIGERIAN HIGH COMMISSION COMPOUND
A building in the Nigerian High Commission Compound has been demolished by a Ghanian Business man. The man is claiming ownership of the land holding the Nigerian High Commission’s staff quarters.
The Nigerian High Commission had petitioned the Ghanaian Government about it, but there was no response until the man showed up with some papers to support his claim. The business man began to knock down the fence surrounding the building with heavy duty equipment.
Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo has apologised to Nigeria about the incident, and directed for a very severe action to be taken against those responsible.
