GHANA’S LAKE VOLTA TIMBER SALVAGE CONCESSION IS THE WORLD’S LARGEST

Here’s the story of Kete Krachi Timber Recovery Ltd. Ghana’s 1st environmentally-friendly timber company that specializes in salvaging wood in Lake Volta for exports. Kete Krachi Timber Recovery is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dedeso Holdings Incorporated, a majority Ghanaian-owned company that holds the Lake Volta timber salvage concession. The concession covers 3,500km² and contains 14 million m³ of recoverable hardwood timber that can be salvaged with zero harm to the aquatic environment and provide Ghana’s depleted forests with an opportunity to regenerate.

• By 2022, the company intends to be Africa’s largest producer of environmentally-friendly hardwood timber and charcoal from its sawmill at Sedorm-Yiti, in Ghana’s Eastern Region
