GOVERNOR AMBODE APPROVES N6 BILLION FOR TRUCK TERMINAL CONSTRUCTION
Governor of Lagos State Approve N6 Billion for Expansion Project of the Orile Truck Terminal
Lagos state, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the sum of N6 billion. This approval is for the expansion project of the Oril Truck Terminal into 1000 capacity. The approval is contain in a document which has other contracts under Ambode’s administration.
The aim of the project is to end the persistent traffic gridlock that had crippled commercial and human activities within Apapa ports and environs.
The document is assume to contain names of Contractor and date. Meanwhile, Letter has been release in 2018 to confirm their approval of the projects.
According to reports, the fund is to execute the project was involve in the 2019 Appropriation Bill for the state.
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Taiwo Salaam, state that the project will only commence; when the State house of Assembly handover to the executive.
Salaam further said that Governor Ambode led administration was really dedicated to the actualization of the project. But, it could not continue with the project due to non submission of the 2019 budget.
