HOW NEW LAGOS INFRASTRUCTURAL ROAD MAP IS TAKING SHAPE

We all know how vital any infrastructure is to a developing nation. As it helps in achieving human capital development in any society. That is why it’s impact on a nation-building can never be over-emphasised.

With that in mind, the administration of Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu in Lagos State has accorded road construction and rehabilitation utmost consideration in the scheme of things.

This has led to the realization of the strategic role of transportation as a key driver of economic development. As Gov. Sanwo-Olu administration made Traffic Management and Transportation a foremost part of its T.H.E.M.E.S (Traffic Management and Transportation, Health and Environment, Education and Technology, Making Lagos a 21ST Economy, Entertainment and Tourism and Governance and Security) Developmental Agenda.

So far we have seen the flag-off of the reconstruction of Eti Osa-Lekki-Epe expressway, the prospect of a 4th Mainland Bridge, Oshodi-Abule-Egba BRT Corridor been completed as well as the Pen Cinema Bridge which is nearing completion.

Also, the junctions improvement projects at Allen Avenue, Maryland, Ikotun and Lekki among others have been completed. All this are aimed at relieving residents of the agony brought about by perennial traffic gridlock in the area.
