HOW RESIDENTS ARE SUFFERING FROM UNFINISHED HOMES IN SOUTH AFRICA
Hundreds of residents of Velwano in an area known as NU1 are suffering from unfinished building project.
The project which was carried-out by Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality did not finish as they failed to pay the developer, which resulted in the project been abandoned in 2017 with 43 houses still unfinished.
Residents has complained to their councilors but according to them, it still boils down to the municipality.
This has made the Kwanele People’s Movement Agenda 7 which is an advocacy agency to taken up the case of the unfinished homes.
Meanwhile, developer, Ruwacon, said recently that it now has the go-ahead from the municipality to complete the remaining 315 houses it was contracted to do, including the 43 unfinished houses in Velwano.
