Job purpose

Ericsson is seeking an IT Security Manager to support its Digital Telco BSS Operations with core job responsibilities as following:

  • IT Security Manager ensures that the risk to the organization’s information posed by a variety of cyberthreats (cyberattacks; theft or corruption from within; etc.) is minimized.
  • He should possess broad technical knowledge and hands on experience from implementation of different security tools and technologies.
  • He should also possess knowledge and experience from risk assessments, security solution analysis and implementation.
  • Responsible for securing that security specific operations activities are performing according to the SLA requirements (as reflected on the WLA) and to provide an escalation point for all KPI / operations delivery performance deviations towards the customer.
  • Ensuring that the security team assigned has required skillset and competence available to support the obligated operations for the Digital Telco BSS and deliver operations with improved service levels and enhanced efficiencies year on year.
  • He shall be available to address all customer queries as required and also participate in required and mandatory Governance meeting.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • IT security manager is responsible to monitor networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
  • Help to design, implement, and maintain the security plan.
  • Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices.
  • Direct the installation and use of security tools (e.g., firewalls, data encryption), to protect sensitive information.
  • Recommend security enhancements to IT Management.
  • Ensure that IT security audits are conducted periodically or as needed (e.g., when a security breach occurs).
  • Identify technologies and solutions related to infrastructure and business applications that are to be monitored for security threat detection.
  • Develop and plan continuous improvements to optimize and improve efficiency of various cyber defense technologies.
  • Analyze and contextualize threat intelligence feeds (zero-day vulnerabilities, malware, etc.) and provide applicable solutions to implement protective controls and/or countermeasures
  • To manage the performance of security services to clients (24 x 7, 365 days per year) and ensure that service levels are achieved.
  • Good knowledge about process / metrics and controls. Ability to create new process and reporting matrices as and when required.
  • Perform periodic review of the security policies and standards to ensure that the IT infrastructure is align.
  • Perform root cause analysis, trending and reporting for critical security incidents
  • Identify and implement operational and technical methods for improving the efficiency and quality of processes related to security. Identify the existing gaps and propose optimum solution to address the same.
  • Responsible for providing effective security monitoring and incident response through triage, investigation, communication, and reporting.

Skills:

  • 10-12 years of experience in an IT Telco operations/services environment, with min of 5 years’ experience in IT security management.
  • Security certifications such as CEH, CISM, CISSP etc would be an added advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge in Security risk assessment. Implementation of solutions.
  • Knowledge on End point security solutions like Antivirus (Symantec, McAfee etc), HIDS, HIPS, Patch Management, and Log reviews.
  • Good understanding and knowledge on Securing and hardening for windows, Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people at every level and in every department

Education:

  • University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related discipline

 Working Hours:

  • Business Hours – Sunday-Thursday
  • Available on-call or during shifts to manage Business Priorities
