JULIUS BERGER PROMISED TO FINISH 2ND NIGER BRIDGE ON TIME
Julius Berger to finish construction of 2nd Niger Bridge by 2022.
The contractor for the 2nd Niger Bridge construction in Nigeria, Julius Berger has promised to deliver the project on time. Speaking during a site tour by the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, the contractors made the statement.
Engr. Friedrich Wieser, Project Manager for Julius Berger confirmed the statement and also said the 1,300 workers and 425 equipment has been mobilized to the site. This will ensure that the project is delivered on scheduled.
Wieser also said that the bridge is designed in line with applicable standard and it has reached 33% completion stage. He also said they are currently doing sand filling of a 7km access road to the bridge and it will be completed by September this year.
In response to the Wieser comment, Fashola said the project completion date is a top priority for President Buhari. While stating that the President aim to improve infrastructure to develop the economy of the nation.
