JUMIA FOOD APPOINTS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR
Jumia Food appoints new Managing Director who is keen on improving customer experience.
Jumia Food Kenya, the online food shopping and delivery company with over 200 restaurants in Nairobi and Mombasa that supplies variety of cuisines including Kenyan, Chinese, Indian, Thai etc., have just appointed Shreenal Ruparelia to take over from Duncan Muchangi as the new Managing Director of the company.
The appointment of Shreenal who have a rich background in Management Consulting, Start-Ups and eCommerce gathered from her years of experience across Australia, Asia and East Africa, is coming at an important time as Jumia Group is re-branding and integrating all of its ventures into one umbrella.
Shreenal who said she is happy to join Jumia Food “at a time when eCommerce is experiencing unprecedented growth in the country and in the African continent at large,” has listed improving customer experience as one of her priorities to focus on and she plans to do so through timely delivery and seamless customer, operational and marketing support.
She also disclosed that the company’s alcohol delivery subsidiary, Jumia Party is also part of her focus.
Jumia Food is present in eleven countries in Africa including Nigeria, Morocco and Uganda.
