KENYA GOVERNMENT BREAK GROUND ON CONSTRUCTION OF LOW-COST HOUSING PROJECT

Construction of 30,000 low-cost housing project set to kick-off after ground breaking ceremony in nairobi, Kenya.

The kenya government has made plans to launch a low-cost housing project that will see over 30,000 houses. The project will help bring more investor and funds for the project.

State House Spokesperson Manoah Esipisu said that “We’ve already spoken to setting up of the Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company within the next month. He also said that it will define a change as it is breaking grounds for three flagships.”

Construction of the housing project will kick-off in six month time. Meanwhile the construction of 2,000 house will start in three months time according to the state report. The aim is to target up to 5,000 houses in Shauri Moyo, 20,000 houses in Makongeni. It will also have 3,000 houses in Starehe and 2,000 units in Park Road estates.

The project is tag as the ‘Big Four’ agenda and will take shape in Nairobi’s Eastlands area.
