MALAWI MINISTER HAPPY WITH MCHINJI TTC CONSTRUCTION

Progress of construction of Teachers’ Training College (TTC) please Malawi Minister.

During a site tour of the area, the Minister of Education in malawi was impress with the level of work. The minister during his tour said there is need to increase teachers training and improving teacher’s welfare.

Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Bright Msaka said “We cannot talk about quality of education without talking about the teacher. He also said We are going to ensure that this college produces the number of teachers.”

Meanwhile, the Minister said that the centre will produce 1, 200 teachers per year after the construction is complete. According to him, with the pace of the construction the Teachers’ Training College (TTC) will be complete by January 2020.

Site Engineer for S.R Nicholas Construction Company, Allan Phiri said “We aim to complete the whole project by January 2020. He also said that so far there are no major challenges on the project.”

According to Phiri, the main structures which would be built on the site. This site will include administration and academic blocks, hostels for male and female students and lecturers house.

The funds for the construction of mchinji ttc construction is from Saudi Fund and BADEA with an estimate cost of US$ 11 million for the first phase.
