MOZAMBICAN ENTREPRENEUR RECEIVE GOLD AT WORLD INVESTMENT FORUM 2018

Mozambican entrepreneur receives gold medal at the ongoing World Investment Forum 2018 in Geneva.

The World Investment Forum is a biennial programme that promotes investment for sustainable development. It also aids the facilitation of policy dialogue among a diverse community of investment stakeholders.

The award was given to Uneiza Ali Issufo because of her company’s commitment to quality, sustainability and environmental protection.

Uneiza Ali Issufo is the founder of ConsMoz Ltd, a construction company based in Nampula. Nampula is the centre of business activities in Northern Mozambique. Mozambique is hot tourist destination; famous for its nice beach and 2 hour siesta where everything shuts down between the hours of 12 -2pm.

Since graduating with a civil engineering degree Ms. Uneiza have had numerous projects to her credit. She has also been an active personality within the construction industry in Nampula. In 2014, she was the President of the Nampula Association of Contractors. Her election as president is an attestation to her courage and leadership ability.

The UNCTAD Empretec Women in Business Gold Award stands for her “courage and audacity as a woman starting a green construction business, and her systematic and ongoing efforts to grow her business in innovative ways, creating employment opportunities for local communities particularly women.”
