NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION TO BE INTRODUCED IN NIGERIA

Julius Berger to introduce new technology for road construction in Nigeria.

Julius Berger Nigeria (JBN) plans to introduce a new technology for road construction in Nigeria. The new technology will ground and treat the old asphalt. It will also use it to increase the thickness and height of the asphalt for enduring roads.

Julius Berger Nigeria Plc (JBN Plc)  is a leading construction company that offers integrated solutions and related services. JBN specializes in executing complex works that require the highest level of technical expertise and Nigeria-specific know how. Its pioneer project in Nigeria is the construction of the Eko Bridge in Lagos in 1965.

According to the MD of JBN, Wolfgang Goetsch, with the new technology, roads will last longer and have asphalt thickness of 12cm. Julius Berger is a key player in the development of Nigeria’s industrial and civil infrastructure. The company uses state-of-the-art construction methods and technologies to ensure that quality and also innovation is priority for the benefit of clients.

In 2017, Julius Berger Nigeria generated US$396.3m revenue. It is also investing  in research and development so as to maintain its leadership in construction sector of the country.

Goetsch said the company have 24 ongoing and newly awarded projects and it promises to deliver these projects on schedule.
