NIGERIA’s LONGEST CONCRETE ROAD SET TO BE COMPLETED IN DECEMBER

Obajana-Kabba road set for completion in december this year after 29 km out of 43 km were complete.

Nigeria’s longest concrete road in kogi state is set to be complete in december this year. The Obajana-Kabba road which is a 43 km long will help in the commercial activities in the state.

The road is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Dangote Cement Plc to the area. It will also last more than 50 years after completion according to the project manager.

Bajana of Obajana Land, King Idowu Senibi said “Our society will be opened as you can see vehicles and commercial activities have started coming up. He also said that Obajana was like a village before the coming of Dangote Cement Plc. He highlighted that our population is about 70,000 people and is still growing.”

According to the President, Aliko dangote; Plans were afoot to revolutionize Nigerian roads with concrete. The plan is to get rid of repairs and maintenance and use money for more important needs of the nation.

The development is good to the people who often take longer time to transport their various products. It will also solve the security problem that residents often encounter due to the bad road.

Dangote Group has also commission the 26km Itori-Ibese concrete road as part of its CSR.
