PLANS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF FOUR STADIUMS BEGINS IN KENYA

Nairobi county plans to build four state of the art stadium in four districts.

Nairobi County is making plans to construct four state of the art stadium in the county. It will help solve and address the need for more sports and recreational facilities for the youth in the county. It will also be build as per FIFA standard and will be located in Dandora, Jacaranda grounds, Kariokor and Kihumbini.

Nairobi County executive in charge of Education and Sports Janet Ouko said “We all expect to see a 120 metres by 50 metres, with ample sitting spaces capable of accommodating thousands of people. She also said the government will use its resource to complete the projects.”

Meanwhile the stadium will have amenities such as modern changing rooms, referee rooms and restaurants. Contractors are already on site in Dandora for the first phase of the project.

Dandora Member of County Assembly, Charles Thuo said “This is not only a project for Nairobi residents, but the country at large. He also said that It is a project that will benefit all the Kenyan youth and the generations to come.”

The new stadiums will have 24-hour security surveillance. It will have CCTV cameras, a functional public address systems and two floodlights mast each comprising of six lights.
