WEST AFRICA LARGEST SHOPPING MALL UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN PORT-HARCOURT

Construction of the largest West Africa shopping mall in port-harcourt set to help create jobs after completion.

The shopping mall construction is expected to be the largest in west Africa when completed. The project is to make the city an investment destination in the country. The shopping mall will get a road that will be reconstructed leading to the mall.

During the Governor visit to the site, he was impress with the development. He further stated that the project will create a employment for the people and the host communities.

According to the governor, “I am highly impressed by what I have seen here today. We will encourage the investor who has put in his resources and time to see that this is done in Port Harcourt. We encourage others to come to Port Harcourt.”

The governor also thank the private investor, Ndibe Obi for choosing Port Harcourt for the mall. He also said that the city has all the facilities that will attract credible private investors.

Private investor Ndibe Obi, ”The mall will house an 11000 sqm supermarket which will sell all types of products. The facility will also generate 600 direct and indirect employment for residents and the host community.”

The project will surpass the current largest shopping mall, Two Rivers shopping mall which is located at Kenya. The mall covers 65,000 sqm and was opened in February 2017. The shopping mall which is worth $10 million is partly owned by the investment company, Centum.

The shopping mall will be located in Trans-amadi area in port-harcourt, rivers state, Nigeria.
