SOUTH AFRICANS URGED TO LOWER WATER CONSUMPTION DUE TO POWER CUT

Residents of Johannesburg and Tshwane have been urged to lower their water consumption due to the negative impact repeated power cuts have had on water supply infrastructure, Eyewitness News reports. This comes shortly after the City of Cape Town’s appeal to residents for the same reason. Eskom will cut 2,000 megawatt power from 9 a.m-11 p.m local time across the country. Eskom instituted load-shedding after losing some of it’s generating station broken down at the same time.
