TANROAD SIGNED DEAL TO CONSTRUCT TARMAC ROAD IN TANZANIA

The Tanzania National Roads Agency (Tanroads) has signed a Sh38.359 billion deal with a Turkish firm to construct a tarmac road that is expected to ease coal transportation to neighbouring countries. AVM-Dilingham Construction International Inc will build the 32-kilometre road connecting Ibanda, Kajunjumele, Kiwira, and Itungi Port. CONSTRUCTION RESUME AT KWALA DRY PORT PROJECT IN TANZANIA

Construction works to complete the Kwala project are expected to resume this month as procedures to acquire a contractor are at the final touches. It was revealed that the construction will be completed in four months and the facility will begin operations in January, next year.
