After Zambezi River Authority (ZRA) cut the water allocation for electricity generation. ZRA reduce the water allocated for ZERA  from 38 billion cubic metres to 36 billion cubic metres. ZERA to issue 12  independent power producers (IPPs) license to operate in Zimbabwe Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) is set to license 12 independent power producers.
