THE NEW PRESIDENT OF ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATION OF KENYA

President Mugure Njendu giving her remark as the new president of Architectural Association of Kenya for 2019-2021.

This succession took place at the Gala Dinner organised in Radisson Blu Hotel. During the ceremony, outgoing president Emma Miloyo passed on the mantle of leadership to the incoming president.

The event was well attended by professionals and special dignitaries. In fact, Mr. Kivutha Kibwana, the first Governor of the People’s Government of Makueni County-Kenya gave a speech. He challenged Architects to help counties remedy the effect of unmanaged urban growth. For instance, this has contributed to social and economic problems including the emergence and proliferation of informal settlements, shortage of decent housing and rising crime.

The gala dinner marks the launch of the AAK BuildHub. “Indeed, this is a step in the right direction when it comes to incepting development projects that will impact and spur growth in the society in general.”
