TWO TOWNS GETTING NEW FACELIFT DUE TO ROAD PROJECTS IN KENYA
The construction of roads project in two towns in Kenya is gradually giving the area a new facelift.
Both Kajiado and Ngong municipalities which were formed last year through an executive order by Governor Joseph ole Lenku have seen several infrastructures development so far.
The infrastructure development in the area has seen both towns now having paved roads connecting densely populated estates that host key businesses. Such business had suffered due to muddy streets that had kept clients away.
Meanwhile, some of the new tarmac roads have reduced traffic jams. As the traffic problem has been addressed by the connection between the main town and Majengo slums from the Cooperative Bank junction.
Governor Lenka ordered the Department of Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development to relinquish some of its functions to the municipalities. With Patrick Mugo championing the Ngong area while Dr Leina Mpoke is for Kajiado.
