ZIMBABWE GOVT. CONSIDERING HOUSING SCHEME FOR SELF-EMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS
In a bid to help the housing industry in the nation, Zimbabwe government is looking at the possibility of having a housing program for self-employed individuals.
The program will see those individuals that can repay those loans be part of the scheme.
Speaking during a legislative meeting at the nation’s National Assembly, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa said they are making plans for a traditional mortgage financing that is tailor-made for those in formal employment who get payslips every month and have guarantors.
Quoting Mutsvangwa, “Government is working with many institutions to come up with a housing programme to cover even those who are self-employed, but are able to repay.”
