CHAD TO LAUNCH NEW NATIONAL AIRLINE
Chad Republic and Ethiopian airlines recently signed an agreement to launch a new national carrier for Chad by October 1st.
Chad republic through its Chad’s Civil Aviation Authority have sign an agreement with Ethiopian airlines for a new national carrier in Chad.
International Air Transport Association ranks Ethiopian Airlines as the largest carrier in Africa by revenue and profit.
Ethiopian airlines is also in talks with some African countries to acquire stakes and also manage operations in these countries airlines. The agreement with Chad’s Civil Aviation Authority will lead to the new Tchadia Airlines. With 51% of the Tchadia Airlines state-owned while Ethiopian airline own the remaining.
The inaugural flight for the Tchadia Airlines is for October 1st but its destination is still unknown.
The airline will serve the four main cities in Chad and also traffic to neighbouring countries.
